Please be patient - tracks may take a short time to load

Tracks 1, 2 and 3 will give you a feel for the music we play.

Click the Double Bass

Track 4 is a video clip of a ceilidh organised by Leicester University.  The dance is The Virginia Reel and is typical of the simple but fun dances Knitter’s Jig will perform at your special occasion. The clip also gives you an indication of how the 'calling' is carried out during the dances.  Please remember the caller will already have walked through the movements before the dance proper begins so the  dancers know exactly what to do (well some of them will).  Please be aware that the sound quality has been reduced to keep the file sizes to a minimum in order to speed up the download.

Alice is the band leader and fiddle player.  She will pace the various sections of music to fit with the ability and speed of the dancers.
