Now that we are returned from our honeymoon and are getting back to normality we just wanted to write to thank you and all the members of the Knitters Jig for delivering such a great musical support to our wedding Ceilidh, which was a highlight to our wedding celebrations. All of the family and friends we have spoken to have mentioned the Ceilidh as a being key to their enjoyment of the celebration on the day.  It was great to see young and old, kilted and otherwise thoroughly enjoying themselves on the evening

Hi Glen

Hope you are well.  I just wanted to drop you a line to again say a really big thank you for playing at my 40th birthday party at Risley Hall the other weekend - apologies for the delay in dropping you a line but I have just returned from a lovely holiday in sunny Tenerife!   I have had some lovely feedback from the evening and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the music and dancing at the Ceilidh.  Please pass on my thanks again to everyone it really was a fantastic evening.

Just one other thing, my sister in law (who was at my do with her husband to be) were so impressed they are really interested in booking you for their wedding next year………

Dear Glen

I would like to thank you and the rest of the team for being such a significant factor in making my wedding day say utterly brilliant. I loved walking up the field to your music, it was just what I wanted and I don't think anything could have been more appropriate. The Caliegh in the evening provided some of the best memories from the day, if not the best memory; having asked a few individuals of they would like to dance, given that they seemed to be mesmerised by the the side of the dance floor only to be met with a look of "no fear" I returned a while later to see John, my uncle, a solicitor from Co Durham, Mark a surgeon from the village and Billy a scouse car salesman all holding hands skipping and clapping looking like they were having the time of their life. None of these people knew each other and none of them previously looked like they would even entertain the idea of getting involved. Secondly the last song turning into a "I do like to be beside the seaside" being song by all involved actually makes me want to cry its such a perfectly happy memory.

I look forward to having a party again, perhaps for no reason at all other than to get my friends together and have you guys play. You all really put so much effort into making my wedding go with a terrific swing and I am incredibly grateful for the fun, the forced mingling and the memories!

Hello all!

I'm embarrassed to write to you so late but really wanted to thank you for such a fantastic performance.  Thank you for the special songs and wonderful playing, and well done for adapting the range of dances to work so well with so many children there.  I had a great night and all our guests had a brilliant time.  We were all in expert hands - you may have made some converts to dancing!

Hi Glen

After a very hectic few days I finally have a day off work and can catch up with myself.  I wanted to say a huge 'thank you' for last Saturday. What a fantastic night.  Graham loved it and I'm so glad I got yourselves and didn't go down the disco route.  Everyone got up and had a go at the dancing and you were all brilliant.  I hope you managed to get some food in the break.  I've had so many comments this week about how much people enjoyed themselves and one person is considering doing something similar for a fundraiser she is trying to organise for next year.  It certainly worked out really well and I can now take a deep breath out - the last couple of days got very stressful but it was well worth it as Graham didn't have a clue until he got to the party.

Thank everyone from us both for having patience with those of us who hadn't done the dancing before and for the wonderful music you provided.

Hello! We just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU for playing at our wedding reception and giving us all such a brilliant time!!  The music was fantastic and we saw people on the dance floor who we never thought would dance, that includes Colin who had been adamant all the way along that he wouldn't be doing a first dance! But you got him dancing which is no mean feat!  We've had lots of comments from friends who said they loved the evening and really enjoyed themselves so thank you from them too!

 

We are now looking for any excuse to hold a party and book you again!! We'll be back.......!!

I've been busy at work this week which has flown by, probably due in part to still being on a high from the party at the weekend.  I had to write to say that last Saturday Knitter's Jig were brilliant and, despite the odd fall and rallying the dancers, both guests and birthday girls had a wonderful time.

Just wanted to drop you all a little email to say how much we enjoyed our wedding on Saturday 22nd December and part of that was due to the fantsatic ceilidh you did!  It was brilliant and got everyone talking and dancing and they have continued to talk about it since!  I can't wait to see our DVD of the night to see all the dancing and general merriment!!  You even got my stepbrother to dance and I have never known this to happen!
